Debussy: next generation TIRF and single molecule imaging

ring tirf microscope

Summary

High powered ring TIRF + motorized FRAP/photobleaching system with 405/488/561/640 excitation ideal for imaging dynamic events requiring high signal-to-noise. Ring TIRF system allows for large field of view TIRF imaging with little to no illumination artifacts. Also features dual channel simultaneous imaging utilizing a single camera, as well as incubation.

Imaging modalities

  • Azimuthal/3D TIRF - θ scan imaging
  • Single molecule tracking
  • Frap/Photo activation
  • Epi widefield fluorescence imaging
  • Oblique illumination sectioning

Applications

  • Membrane processes in live cells. Processes that occur 60-300 nm from the coverslip can be very well studied with TIRF.
  • Single-molecule tracking in live cells. This can be done near the membrane in full TIRF or relatively higher using HILO TIRF.
  • Single-molecule photo physics. Non-biological samples are also compatible on this microscope.
  • Oblique illumination imaging. Take widefield images using tilted illumination to lower background blur from out-of-focus planes to enhance signal-to-noise ratio while reducing bleaching.
  • FRAP Photo-activation. Observe intracellular dynamics and fluorescence distribution and measure your sample's fluorescence steady state. The stimulation function is integrated in the NIS elements software. Cells can be immediately analyzed after or even during the acquisition with the time measurement tool.
  • Live cell imaging. The stage top incubation chamber regulates temperature (25 – 50 ⁰C), CO2 and humidity.
