Summary

Spinning disk confocal offering fastest possible live-cell imaging with 405/488/561/640 excitation. Paired with an Ixon Life 888 EMCCD camera for high sensitivity imaging of dim or challenging samples. Also offers fast Z-sectioning capabilities (piezo), thermal stage control from 0C – 100 C and DIC imaging.

Applications

  • Prolonged fluorescence live cell imaging. There are 4 different laser lines available for the spinning disk confocal. A fluorescence mode can also be combined with brightfield or DIC.
  • (Fast) live cell imaging. Spinning disk illumination is very mild for your sample, which is beneficial when imaging fluorescent proteins. A thermal stage controlled Peltier (0 – 100 ⁰C).
  • FRAP and stimulation experiments. You can, activate or convert with the 405 nm laser simultaneous. Or you can bleach, activate or stimulate with the 405 nm, 488 nm, 561 nm or 640 nm laser and image sequentially. The stimulation function is integrated in the NIS elements software. Cells can be immediately analyzed after or even during the acquisition with the time measurement tool.
