Pacific Hall W1 SoRa

Summary

Super-resolution spinning disk confocal system offering high speeds with 405/445/488/514/561/594/640 excitation, two-channel simultaneous imaging, and motorized FRAP/photobleaching. Also offers incubation and fast Z-sectioning capabilities (piezo).

Imaging modalities

  • Spinning disk confocal Imaging
  • Bright field, DIC, epifluorescence
  • SoRa super-resolution
  • Dual camera imaging
  • Photobleaching

Applications

  • Prolonged fluorescence live cell imaging. There are 7 different laser lines available for the spinning disk confocal. A fluorescence mode can also be combined with brightfield or DIC.
  • Live cell imaging. Spinning disk illumination is very gentle for delicate live specimens. Tokai Hit full enclosure regulates the temperature (30 – 40 ⁰C), CO2, and humidity.
  • FRAP and stimulation experiments. The stimulation function is integrated into the NIS elements software. Cells can be immediately analyzed after or even during the acquisition with the time measurement tool.
  • Ratiometric FRET. Filter FRET using blue, green, red, and far red fluorescent dyes or fluorescent proteins can be performed. You could measure a FRET change of a cytosolic FRET sensor and acquire multiple cells in one field of view at low magnification or you could measure at high magnification thereby observing a FRET change at a specific subcellular localization.
  • Super-resolution can be performed on live and fixed biological samples through SoRa without any special preparations.
